Icelandic Vikings crossed the sea from the East and settled in the Southern part of Greenland. They started what now is called the era of the Norsemen. Later, the people of the Inuit from Thule arrived from the North. They brought their kayaks and dog sleds. And they brought their powerful myths and legends.
The Norsemen are extinct, but the Inuit of Thule people are still here. Now we are called Greenlanders and fully integrated with the modern world. At the same time, we are proud of the culture we are made of. Greenland is called Kalaallit Nunaat in the Greenlandic language. It means ”The people’s land”.
