IMPORTANT Update June 28, 2021
From July 1, 2021, up to 1060 travelers can fly to Greenland per week. PEOPLE WHO ARE FULLY VACCINATED do NOT need to be quarantined or retested on arrival in Greenland anymore.
Travel to and from Iceland will also be opened July 1, 2021, with two weekly flights. It will also be possible to fly directly to the towns in East Greenland.
Passengers who have not been vaccinated still need to have a negative Covid-19 test and be quarantined five days after arrival and then retested.
There are still be some requirements when traveling to Greenland after July 1, including a negative corona test on departure from Denmark and, for people who are not vaccinated
For non-Danish citizens
For travelers from other countries, it will only be possible to travel to Greenland when Denmark (and Iceland) open for entry. We do not know when this is. We are in contact with everyone who has purchased package holidays with us this summer.
You can call us on +45 33 13 10 11 between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM CET.
Covid-19: SURGICAL MASKS ON ATLANTIC FLIGHTS
Due to Danish government requirements, travelers on the Atlantic route between Kangerlussuaq and Copenhagen return trips are required to wear their own masks covering both nose and mouth. This is required from June 15, and children under the age of 6 are exempt.
In Copenhagen: The mask must be worn when you show up at the airport and until you leave Norsaq in Kangerlussuaq.
In Kangerlussuaq: The mask must be worn when boarding the plane and until you leave Copenhagen Airport.
The mask can be removed when eating. It is recommended that you put on a new, unused mask after eating.
In Greenland, you can buy masks in the grocery stores Pilersuisoq, Pisiffik, and Brugsen as well as several other shops.
The mask orders do not apply to travelers on Air Greenland’s domestic routes, but we recommend all our passengers to purchase a mask before departure.

UPDATE on Covid-19 in Greenland
The Covid-19 has also arrived in Greenland. The Government of Greenland has declared that all people who enter the country, will have to go into a 14-day quarantine.
Denmark has closed its borders for most travel, and, at the same time, Greenland has stopped flights into Greenland from Iceland. As our package tours go through either Denmark or Iceland, this impacts on our tours. We have been in contact with everyone who has bought a trip with us in the coming two weeks, and we are currently contacting those who have bought package tours for the subsequent two weeks.
