West Greenland extends from Nuuk in the south to a little north of Sisimiut and Kangerlussuaq. In West Greenland you will find, among other things, Greenland’s two largest towns, Nuuk and Sisimiut, which are very different, and both are worth a visit. It is also in West Greenland that you find Kangerlussuaq where the majority of visitors to Greenland land. Many people choose to spend a few days here before traveling further (often north), as this is the place with the best access to the Greenland Ice Sheet.
